WIKI

Wiki is a website that lets people create or edit the site content without any special tools or knowledge. All that is needed is a computer with internet connection. A wiki is always being reviewed and edited. This is a place where people share there creative process and knowledge. A prime example of a wiki is wiki-pedia. This is an online encyclopedia with collaboration from many different editors.

One way wiki can be used in the classroom is by getting students to create study guides. The study guides can be made by students for the topic. The students could be put into groups and they can prepare one aspect of the topic. This is a fun way to use wiki and get students involved with each other.

Another way wiki can be used in the classroom is by getting students to create vocabulary list. I could give words and have them find the definitions and upload them onto wiki. This is a way to keep them involved and have them contribute the entire semester for class participation.

The last way wiki can be used in the classroom is by getting students to create products of research projects. This will allow collaborative group projects to work on wiki. They can upload computer files, images, videos, etc.

Getting to know me

 Hello, my name is Barkevious Mingo. I am a reentry student at Louisiana State University majoring in Sports Administration. I grew up in North Louisiana where sports, football in general, is hard wired into every aspect of day to day life and no team was revered more than the Tigers.  In high school I excelled in basketball, track and football. After starting my career my junior year I was blessed with the opportunity to play for the Tigers. 

After three and a half years of playing for the Purple and Gold I was fortunate to be able to take my talents to the NFL. I was drafted in the first round of the 2013 draft pick number six to the Cleveland Browns. Playing alongside of some of the best player in the world did a lot to sharpen my skills, not only on the field but also in life. Im currently in my ninth season playing professionally and still I wake up excited everyday ready to get better. 

Being that sports have play a huge part in my life I find it only right that I give back to it in some way or another. Prior to playing in the NFL I always thought my calling was to coach on the high school level or on the administrative, operation or coaching on the collegiate level. After playing and acquiring knowledge and resources from the NFL I now realize that I can have a much bigger impact on sports for the next generations.
